The Conference Centers At WMU | A Better Place to Meet

With two locations - downtown Grand Rapids and southeast Grand Rapids on the Beltline - Western Michigan University (WMU) offers a choice of facilities that is sure to satisfy your needs for ambience, location, amenities, and value.
Imagine your event in an airy, renovated urban loft with exposed brick and beam or in a modern, spacious facility tucked in a tranquil and wooded suburban landscape. Whether your group numbers 4 or 1,000, WMU is ready to host your special event or activity. More than 40 rooms and common areas are available for business events such as conference, workshops, tradeshows, and meetings or social engagements like wedding receptions, retirement dinners, banquets, and fund-raisers.
The East Beltline Conference Center is available for daytime and weekend events while the Downtown Conference Center can accommodate groups in the evenings as well as weekdays and weekends. Weddings can be booked for either Friday or Saturday at the Downtown Conference Center. Please see our special calendar of available dates to help you plan for your special day. Convenient, ample parking is available at both locations.
Services at The Conference Centers are coordinated by a staff of dedicated specialists who provide assistance with every aspect of event planning and preparation. Equipped for Success
Business conferences, workshops, and meetings at both locations are enhanced by high-quality resources and amenities including state-of-the-art meeting rooms with Internet connectivity, professional furnishings, sophisticated audiovisual technology, and computer technology. Both facilities are also equipped to offer interactive video teleconference. Full business support services such as fax, copiers, and phone service are available. Social events have their own special needs such as dance floor, staging, and decorative accents which can be easily accommodated.
